Antec P190 Case

Cost is also an obvious factor and with the Antec P190 costing around $355 in the US, or £230 in the UK it's also one of the most expensive cases we've had a look at in a long, long while. For this price we'd really expect something special though and, while the Antec P190 looks good on paper, it's let down by a number of the decisions that Antec made.

Those reasons mean that it falls just short of the standard set by the awesome P182. Unless you're made of money and can afford to buy this rig and experiment with different heatsinks for a bit then the P182 is a much safer choice for most users, though there's no doubt that the P190 will appeal to some thanks to the bragging rights it carries with it.

don't forget that the case comes with over 1KW PSU power, P182 has no PSU.

But it uses two PSUs chained together to do it. Each PSU is maybe ~80% efficient at best case... so they have doubled the inefficiency. It makes no sense why they did not include their own upcoming 1KW PSU instead of two one unreleased NeoHE units.

You think ?

Say, 80 % of a 1 Kw PSu = 800 real watt
Say, 80 % of a 500 watt + 80 % of a 500 watt PSU = 400 + 400 watt = 800 watt

In general, the same :)

2 * 500 watt is cheaper then 1 kw

That assumes a even load distribution though. PSU's efficiency ratings change depending on the load... considering how they wired them there is no way both PSUs will be operating at their highest efficiency rating at the same time.

PSU one is ~600W I think, it powers mobo, cpu, and vga
PSU two is ~500W and powers everything else (fans, hdds, cdrom, etc)

so theoretically, a highly overclocked quad core with dual hd2900xt OC will overload the 600W PSU.

I like the top fan arrangement, side panel fan is never a good deal, sad they didn't test with/without, would rather see 2x120 (or 1x140) in the rear.

The Performance 900 Gaming case has 1x200 in the top, it makes a lot of difference; no heat build up at all near the CPU area.

If you think the Antec Nine-Hundred is good, the Twelve-Hundred is even better. Especially with built in watercooling for the top 200mm fan. :) 2x120mm on the back, and 200mm optional on the side...

I do hope the radiator is optional, have no intentions to watercool
