Default AMD's 65nm GPU: why the future of GPUs is smaller, faster, cooler

In spite of the fact that it's one of the most complex and cutting-edge integrated circuits in any PC or laptop, the GPU always lags the microprocessor by a few generations in terms of process technology. For instance the current king of GPU performance, NVIDIA's G8800, is made on TSMC's venerable 90nm process, a process node that Intel first introduced way back in early 2004 with the Prescott version of the Pentium 4.

Hm, I do recall at least some sites claiming G80 was a 80nm part, but Anandtech does say it is 90nm as well. Argh

The amount of G80 GTX cards out there seems to have dried up at least a little from a quick glance around... do you think The G80 Ultra will be 80nm based, possibly a replacement if the infamous MSRP is wrong? That would make sense and seem to fit the facts anyway...
