AMD licenses Rambus for PCI Express, DDR tech MEMORY IP FIRM Rambus said AMD has taken out a five year licence to use DDR types of memory, PCI Express, FB-DIMMs and other technology for $75 million. The licence covers not only XDR memory but DDR2 and DDR3. This, said Rambus, is a good start for the firm because it hasn’t done much licensing of controller licences. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28676 |
They had to licence it if they wanted to use DDR2, right? So any guru with some cash could have make a quick buck on the stockmarket. |
RMBS - trading symbo I am not quite sure yet. Stock went up 12% after the news. Should keep on eye on this one;) May cash in AMD as soon as it starts falling back. |
