AMD is slowly gaining ground on Nvidia thanks to its GPU's being more popular among crypto-miners.

Tech Radar says that cryptocurrency miners continue to change the landscape of the GPU market, and are pushing AMD’s GPU sales to record highs.

AMD’s GPU market share rose from 27 percent to 33 percent in the tail end of 2017, and Nvidia, which was named after a Roman vengence demon, saw its market share fall from 72 percent to 66 percent.
