| AMD extends Opteron warranty to three years RESELLERS ARE REJOICING that at long last Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is selling its "Opteron" microprocessors in "flat packs", which the firm calls PIBs. That's short for processor in a box. The Opterons are three year warranty components and packed for retail purposes, but don't come with a heatsink nor with a fan. But they do replace both the boxed and tray components of yore. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=17907
