AMD dropping prices on HD3870 and HD3850
 

We were informed that AMD is going to drop pricing on the HD38xx series, most likely to steal away a bit of thunder of the 9600 GT from NVIDIA which is bound to released soon.

(street price / USD) both in 512M version:
- HD3850 at $169 (old was 199$)
- HD3870 at $189 (old was 245$)

The HD3870 will be almost $50 cheaper, and these are suggested retail prices, possible we'll see lower prices still!

not low enough when you get a MSI 8800GT with custom heatpipe cooler for 199$ at Newegg

I can't order there ;p
