AMD Confirms Virtualization, Security Techs, DDR2 for 2006. Advanced Micro Devices late last week confirmed intentions to launch both server and client central processing units that support virtualization, security technologies as well as DDR2 memory next year. By announcing the plans, AMD confirms earlier rumours about AMD future processors as well as supporting chipsets from NVIDIA Corp. and ServerWorks.
