AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Listing – “Mistake”, Says AMD
 

A representative for Advanced Micro Devices said that the listing of unannounced AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ processor in an official document was a “mistake” and should not be “there”. He denied to comment regarding the specifications or product positioning.

“It’s a mistake, shouldn’t be on the sheet,” said Damon Muzny, a spokesman for AMD. “It’s a typo for certain, just not sure what the mistake was yet. As there isn’t a 5000+ part for 939 or AM2 yet, I can’t give an official answer if that part is to come out in the future.”
