AMD AM2 Motherboard shootout: EPoX MF570 SLI vs ASUS M2N32-SLI
 
ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe is the first ASUS mainboard based on the NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP chipset. This chipset supports LInk Boost and Tritrium Technology. It supports 2 PCIe x16 with SLI support at full x16,x16 speed. There is another 1 PCIe X4 slot supporting PCIe x4 or x1 card. There are 1 x PCIe x1 slot and 2 x PCI 2.2 slots.

The NForce 590 SLI MCP supports 1 x IDE upto 2 UDMA 133/100/66/33 devices, 6 SATA II 3.0 Gb/s. It can run in RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 and JBOD configuration spanning across SATA drives via the onboard Mediashield RAID controller. There is an additional Sil 3132 SATA II controller which supports 1 internal SATA II port and 1 external SATA II port. It supports RAID 0,1, and JBOD.

The board has Dual GbE featuring AI NET2 using MCP MAC with Marvell PHY (x2) It supports teaming and Fail Over functions.

8 ch audio is supported using SoundMax ADI AD1998B codec. It supports jack sensing, multi streaming, DTS connect etc. This wireless edition also supprot Wi-Fi@Home USB wireless module for 802.11 b/g. 2 x 1394 ports and support up to 8 USB 2.0 ports on the standard edition 10 USB 2.0 ports supported on the Wireless edition.

EPoX releases its first SLI mainboard for the AMD AM2 processor. EP-MF570 SLI mainboard is based on the NForce 570 SLI chipset. EP-MF570 SLI targets the mainstream gamers who would like a stable, affordable SLI system. On top of that, the BIOS allow tweakers to have lots of fun tweaking the various parameters within the BIOS for optimal performance.

In terms of features, the mainboard supports 6 SATA II RAID ports via the N570 SLI chipset. It supports RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and 5. The board also comes with Dual Gigabit Ehernet based on the Marvell 88e1116 GBE PHY. Dual channel DDR2-800 is supported as well. High Definition Audio is also spport by the Realtek ALC883 codec supporting 24bit PCM audio playback with a 7.1 configuration.

The mainboard, just like most EPoX board, comes with the the Post Port or what is commonly known as Debug LED and temperature readings off the BIOS during POST. The DEBUG LED will turn into a temperature gauge showing the cpu temperature in real time. Not only that, The MF570 SLI also supports Ghost BIOS. With the Driver CD inserted into the CD-ROM drive, it can recover corrupted bios. For BIOS updates in Windows, EPoX comes with Thunder Flash which allows you to flash bios by updating it through the internet. THe Magic Screen allows one to customise your own boot up screen. Last but not least, EPoX MF570 SLI comes with Thunder Probe software which allows you to monitor the temperatures using a thermo stick supplied. There is also an alarm and smart fan function to control monitor your temperatures in the box.
