AMD A10-6800K & A10-6700 APU Review @ Neoseeker

AMD earlier today launched its Elite A-Series APU processors, aka Richland. This new lineup of APUs for desktops naturally still feature integrated AMD graphics, and clocks for both the CPU and GPU have increased in nearly all cases. Fortunately the exception doesn't lie in both of the quad-core Richland APUs we've got on the review bench today: the unlocked A10-6800K featuring a 4.1GHz core clock (base) and the A10-6700 ringing in at 4.3GHz.

Factoring in Richland's promise to better reach advertised Turbo clocks, and we could be looking at a 5-25 percent increase in performance. The integrated GPUs (HD 8670D for both APUs) meanwhile are clocked 5-11 percent higher than previous generation Trinity equivalents. With the A10-6800K's suggested pricing alone coming in at $40 less than Core i5 Haswell CPUs from Intel, AMD looks to continue the trend of offering just the right amount of potential for the right price. Hit our review to see how competitve AMD's new generation of desktop APUs are!
