Default Advanced Micro Devices Plans to Slash Microprocessor Pricing in April

Advanced Micro Devices plans to reduce pricing of its microprocessors in early April, according to unofficial information. The move will be accompanied with the introduction of higher performance central processing units (CPUs), something predicted a long time ago.

On the 7th of April the world’s second largest maker of x86 microprocessors plans to cut the pricing on existing products: AMD Phenom 9500, 9600 and 9600 Black Edition, as well as on AMD Athlon 64 X2 models 4400+, 4600+, 4800+, 5000+, 5000+ Black Edition, 5200+, 5400+, 5600+, 6000+ and 6400+, reports Planet3DNow.de web-site citing sources among resellers of AMD products. Additionally, AMD will reduce the cost of its low-power Athlon 64 and low-cost AMD Sempron central processing units.
