In a unique effort to combine the antique appeal of the typewriter with the modern accuracy of a mechanical keyboard, Adesso has released a product that combines aspects of both input experiences into a new style of advanced ergonomic input with multifunctional browsing features.

4mm key travel, N-Key rollover, key-cap design

Announced a few weeks ago, the Adesso AKB-636UB is a mechanical typewriter keyboard featuring silver-colored “smooth action” mechanical keys with a 4-millimeter key travel distance and a retro-style aesthetic appeal. Where traditional typewriters last about 100 pages each time a new ribbon is installed before the ink fades, this keyboard is capable of handling up to 50 million keystrokes.
