Default 85,000 Oculus Rift Dev Kits Sold

Oculus Rift has sold a total of 85,000 dev kits. That means they only need to sell about six million more kits before Facebook makes their money back off the company. The company revealed the figures to TechCrunch and broke them down into 60,000 sales or the original DK1 and 25,000 sales of the DK2 that went on sale on March 19. The kit currently costs $350. In February Oculus VR was forced to halt production of the headsets after it struggled to source some of the key components.
