In our today’s article we are going to discuss another seven displays with 19-inch diagonal from Acer, Asus, Samsung and ViewSonic. Among them are a couple of pretty unusual solutions: one based on PVA matrix and another one with a built-in web-cam.

min. size for new screen today should be 24" for those with a nice budget, 22" for those looking for lower cost. Who, beside office users, would buy 19" ?

Rutar 14th January 2009 21:10

indeed and its even worse if companies don't buy 24" min because there time is money and big screens save a lot of time

for most apps 17~19" is sufficient, certainly office apps for 99% of those out there ;)

dual 17 or 19" is better to work with office minded then one 24"

We here at work have all a dual config.

17" = 1280x1024 = 2560*1024
24" = 1920x1200, seamless
don't know really... both have their advantages

sufficent doesn't mean lowest total cost

when you're placing orders of 200+ units, every € less makes a difference;
17" LCD ~€100
24" LCD ~€400

€60.000 saved

That doesn't compensate for your workers being less productive.
