Okay, this is close to advertising but what the hell, they deserve it.

azerty.nl provided me a warranty sheet I can use when in case I encounter troubles:

65405-1 / 31812 Intel Core 2 Duo, E2160, Socket 775, Boxed: 36 months
65405-1 / 14518 Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA, Retail: 36 months
65405-1 / 8190 Sweex HDMI to DVI Cable, 3 m: 36 months
65405-1 / 12145 Cooler Master Hyper TX Intel: 24 months
65405-1 / 10802 Kingston KVR667D2N5/1G, 1024 MB, DDR2, PC5300: lifetime warranty

This is the first shop I encounter that correctly informs the customer of their rights. All other shops is 1 year max.

By the way, 3 year warranty on the motherboard? /me likes

yes, that's the one.

The e2160 arrived. It's incredible bang for the buck.

Out of the box, no tweaking, hasn't crashed a single time: 300x9 = 2.7Ghz with DDR2 PC5300 at 1:1.

I don't think it will go much further as the motherboard doesn't allow any vcore adjustments, and undervolts (1.3v instead 1.35v). Still, an intel core 2 setup at 2.7Ghz for 200 euros is pretty cheap.

Yup, no diehard overclocking for me any more. (*)

I also found out the GF6200 i bought is absolute crap. On a 2.7Ghz core2 it does 8500 marks in 3D01. That's less than the R8500LE i bought 5 years ago.

(*) never quote me on this
