Oh my god, DIPswitches for the multiplier
so modern :/

status so far?
2 out of 3 KT400 mobo's don't POST with the R9700 Pro in it

3 out of 4 mobo's don't run stable @200Mhz (tried 5! different ramchips, 3 of them pc3200 samsung)

mobo 4of4 (the gigabyte) not yet tested @200mhz.. the only KT400 to work with the R9700 Pro so far.

way to go VIA/ATI

dipswitches are cool. When you clocked to high, turn the pc off and set the switches to something lower.
with overclocking in the bios, high clock-> bios reset and you can enter the date etc. again...

dipswitches = opening case everytime
(don't reply 'i overclock to the max , my mobo is just on the table without a case ' :D )

jmke 27th November 2002 12:38

in my case, pun intended, when I decide to overclock, I don't use a case ;)

but I still think dipswitches are ****

latest mobo's, when coldboot, hold INS key, it will reset the CPU/mem settings, but not the others :)
