SMART reading with sata controller

Hey

I wonder if it is possible to read my temperature of the hdd attached to my sata controller (pci)

The card itself is a promise sataII tx2plus.

Atm I'm using MBM5 and I can't select the hdd's on the sata controller for temperature reading

this is my little file server; 4 drives connected through PCI cards, I get no read-outs from SMART :-/

if you do find a solution, please share :)
