| Pre-CES: OLED Technology making great strides As I begin to think about the different technologies and gadgets I'll see during CES in a couple of weeks, OLED technology is something that really fascinates me. Even though I know the technology is too pricey for everyday use at the moment, a price drop sometime in the next few years is inevitable. In fact, Sony said it plans to stop making rear-projection TVs, and looks forward to using OLEDs in the future. At least one company, Samsung, plans to show off its 31-inch active matrix OLED, which I am sure will look impressive. If you're interested in OLED technology, keep a look out for articles and press releases about OLED technology, especially during CES, because the technology is a popular topic at the moment. |
