Post your main working/gaming rig for all to see What system do you use most daily/weekly, is it cutting edge tech or old gear slower then a Pentium 1 100Mhz? my rig: Processing: A64 3000+ S754 with 1GB Ram Video& Sound: 6800GT / Audigy2 ZS Pro / 2x 17"TFT / 5.1 THX Creative Soundworks Storage: about 400GB divided over a few HDDs (Raptor 74GB for games) + 12x Plextor DVDRW Case&Power: Coolermaster miditower with 550W PSU Cooling: Scythe Samurai and 4x80mm casefans things to improve: CPU cooling & case cooling: it's way too loud:) |
I have a few I use daily; I'd say three of them being on 16 hours/day. This one I use slightly more - Processing: A64 3000+ S939 with 1GB Ram Video & Sound: 6200PCX/Onboard Storage: 160GB SATA; DVD & 16X DVD RW Case & Power: Cheapo X-Dreamer II, 500W S-12 Cooling: JMC Pheonix 70 + Chill Vent II with 5x80mm case fans & 7 Volt ~1,800 RPM, 44 dBA 12 inches away. Things to improve: None, it serves my purpose well. |
This is the one I normaly use the most Processing: AXP2500+ (barton)@2.2Ghz Video& Sound: 9600Pro (474/324)/NvNF² Soundstorm & Ozika HM30Q3 Storage: 120Gb WD SATA hdd, NEC 8x dlDVD+-RW Case&Power: No case & Aopen 350w Cooling: Thermalright SLK947u, TT Smart Case Fan2 (cpu), 92mm titan ,(power-reg, mostly off), 60mm unknown (memory). Not the most powerfull machine, but it still works :super: . Hopefully it'll last me another year :excellent |

*A64 3000+ @ 2,7 + 1GB ram *7800GT and onboard sound *120 + 40 GB and a simple 16x DVD-rom (LG) *Case: new ThermalTake Soprano :love: + OCZ powerstream 470 watt *Cooling cpu: xp-120 + papst, case: 2*120 mm + 92 mm But most of the time I use the school computers to work on. I don't know their specs completely but the cpu's are PIII 1000 MHz. |
The system I use most would be my laptop: Dell Inspiron 510m Intel Pentium Mobile 1.4GHz 512MB RAM (2*256) 60 GB hard drive DVD/CD-rw combo Intel gaphics Dell wireless b/g 15" screen, 1400*1050 this is alway on unless it's dying battery ran out. Runs eve online when I'm home, and I use it for work and GPS. It's not quite as actively used as my main rig, but still. |
still using the same system as 2 years ago (almost the same) athlon xp 2400+ epox 8k5a2+ 512 mb ddr radeon 9500PRO with 9700 bios 280 gb of HD (200+80) nec 3500 it begins to slow down, maybe upgrade motherboard to nf2 with a raptor drive. |

Well actually, I use the computers@work more than my own rig... I use a bunch of systems over there: 2 windows (XP) systems, I think P4, though don't really know as I've never seen it booting before (runs 24/7). And then a bunch of "LANMARK" computers, I think they are P1 233's. Slow machines anyway, but they are mainly used for LAnmark, an eighties reservation-and-other-stuff system our hotel uses. (they still run on Win 3.11 btw) |

most? difficult, I have one I use for work daily in consultation, and I have a gaming rig Most used : work rig amd X2 3800+ MSI RS482M4-ILD onboard gpu 1 gig of ram ocz 420w psu lianli pc6070b (only 1 80mm exhaust active) nec dvd RW seagate 400 gb hdd external WD HDD 4 backup silent as hell, passive mobo, gpu onboard, supersilent OCZ 420 (520 and 600 I have are lots louder),and soon vapochill micro ultra low noise on cpu, only 1 80mmexhaust active slow speed, (gaming rig is a different thing alltogether :) fx53 with zalman cpu cooler @ 13*200 asus an8 sli premium 2*7800 gtx in sli @ 500/1300 ocz 600 watt raptor 74 gb OS, raptor 74 gb games, raptor 36 for installation packages, drivers, patches, fixes HP L2335 widescreen monitor 2*512 mb corsair ram @ 200 2-2-2-8 caseless) |

Main rig: Processing: PPC G4 1.25Ghz with 2GB Ram (currently 1Memory slot broke :s) Video& Sound: R9600 64MB, 15" widescreen Storage: 80GB,4200RPM but ordered a 100GB,5400RPM,16MB Cache & 60GB,7200RPM,8MB cache So I can choice :D and Lacie 500GB Bigger Disk Case&Power: Powerbook Aluminium Edit: Improvements? Nothing besides to get the memorybank fixed :) Maybe another Powerbook :D |
