7800GT and x1800XL offer good value at stock, if you can find a modding GTO it would be even better value

Are you talking about the powercolor x800 I sold to you?

It's unlockable/unflashable, otherwise I would have kept it :p.

those x850XT are really getting cheap :)

Anyone want to bet ATI helped getting their price down to take some of the 6800GS sales?

jmke 8th January 2006 18:15

uhm

X850XT >>>>> X800GTO(2)

there's no catch, it's the best price/performance card around at the moment which does not require any modding/flashing/overclocking to perform at its best.

jmke 8th January 2006 20:52

seeing as my X800GTO2 overclocks to 540/590 with ease (X850XT PE specs) it's no surprise some companies will market these chips as full blown X850XT cards and price then aggressively

if you now have the choice between
€200 Sapphire X800GTO2
or
€210 Powercolor X850XT

you'll know what the choose and Powercolor has another sell;

jmke 8th January 2006 21:08

6800GS is faster than stock X800GTO2
but X850XT = 6800Ultra
6800Ultra > 6800GT ~==~ 6800GS

still with me? :)

no problem dude:) will you be voltmodding the card yourself?

what cooling are you going to use, because that chip runs hot, fast!

easypanic 9th January 2006 06:43
