new system... lagging...
 

I just got me the following new system:

AMD64 3500+
Asus A8N-SLI
2x 512mb 400mhz DDR - corsair
2x Asus Extreme N6600GT
Maxtor 250GB SATA 7200rpm
Zalman CNPS7700CU CPU cooler

I've overclocked my CPU with asus smart overclock system by 5%

now my problem is.. whenever I play UT2004 or CS, no problem at all,
but when I start playing racing games like NFSU1 or NFSU2 or GTA vice city..
I really have this tuttring images.. and its really taking away the fun in playing the games..
I've tryed to set the graphics lower, but that doesnt seem to have any good effect on it,

I tryed installing Nvidia's newest Nforce + graphics drivers, and disabling and enabling SLI, both dont seem to have any effect,

im clueless... anybody know a solution?

[edit: also updated bios from 1.00 to 1.10 wich had no effect]

Have you tried one graphic card at a time making sure Windows driver and setup are correct?

That's how I installed them :-)

(didnt have enough money to buy both cards at the same time :P)

just installed Aquamark.. and no stutter at all during the animations,
I also dont find any problem with games like battlefield2, dungeon siege2 and World of warcraft

have you tried disabling the overclocking (both asus smart and the vga oc bios tweak ?)

just tryed, still have the same.. :(

seems like it's a problem with racing games, did you try to enable/disable vsync?

what monitor are you using?

im using a LG Flatron L1915S (12ms LCD)
just tryed enabling it...
it fixed the problem with GTA... not with NFS...

the "stuttering" you are experiences is most likely frame-drops and having games running games with vsync of which can cause tearing (in FPS games) and "jumps" (in race games).

in the advanced videocard properties, make a game profile for NFS and force vsync to be enabled

TFT/LCD panels are more sensitive to VSYNC settings and the it depends from person to person what settings will work best
