New 9CJS. Apogee OC app display problem

I just put together my first rig. It's working fine except for the tweaking utility named Apogee that I downloaded and installed from Chaintech's site. Version 1.5.1 dated 7/28/03.

The problem is that the readouts (Temp-RPM etc.) on the skin are not in the areas they are supposed to be. It's as though the skin is one graphic and the readouts are overlayed poorly on to the skin. Also, the only way to close it is via Ctrl, Alt, Del.

I have uninstalled and installed the utility three times with the same results.

I have nVidia GeForce FX 5600 and DirectX 9.0b and XP Home.

Any idea what's wrong?

Thanks,

Kerry

do you have any other temp. monitoring software installed?
is it a clean XP install?

In short, don't use it.
http://mbm.livewiredev.com/
That should work at least equal for monitoring.

when I tested the 9CJS there was no support for the mobo yet, the latest version does seem to support it though.

My new 9CJS PC has a new/clean install of XP Home.

I have MBM 5.3.6.0 installed now, but Apogee was not working before I installed MBM.

Thanks,

Kerry

"when I tested the 9CJS there was no support for the mobo yet, the latest version does seem to support it though."

Latest "version" of what?

Do you mean that there was no support for the Apogee and that the Phoenox Award BIOS V.6.00PG (the one that's listed on my BIOS screen) seems to support Apogee?

Or do you mean that Chaintech doesn't support Apogee even though they included a handout recommending it?

Thanks,

Kerry

he is referring to mbm

yep, referring to MBM

did not have any issue with the Apogee tool, it worked from the beginning on both 9CJS as the I865 Chaintech mobo.

a clean XP install? What BIOS version are you running on the board?

Kerry 9th March 2004 00:16

Thanks jakkerd and jmke.

My BIOS is,
"Phoenix Award BIOS v. 6.00PG (11/17/2003)
Intel(R) RAID for Serial ATA RAID BIOS 3.5.0.2568"

I have it configured for RAID-0. The two 10,000 RPM hard drives (C:\) appear to be working perfectly.

Thanks, Kerry

PS. I just installed AIDE32 v. 3.93 —what a great utility!

Cheers,

Da fix?

Control Panel, Display, Settings, Advanced, DPI setting, (changed from 120 dpi to the default "Normal size 96 dpi"

I had changed it to the larger because my 19.1 LCD screen defaults to 1280 x 1024 which makes the font size a bit tiny.

So now I can switch back and forth when I want to play with Apogee.

Thanks all,

Kerry
