Mobo brands OK, I'm planning to wait for the Core Duos to appear on the market before renewing my computer setup. But the biggest problem is the choice of brands. For some reasons, there are following brands I'd liek to avoid: DFI, Abit, Epox, MSI, Chaintech... On the other hand, I seem to prefer brands like Asus, Gigabyte, Sapphire... Anyways, I don't know many brands (all I got were MSI, Abit and Asus), and some people are screaming like they saw the devil when I mention Gigabyte for example, but they can't tell me why it ain't a good choice  So, can [M] help me out with that problem? |
why is MSI, DFI, Abit, Epox or Chaintech a bad choice? :) |
yeah you were right jmke why is MSI, DFI, Abit, Epox or Chaintech a bad choice? jmke i need you with my geforce 6200 |
I've lost soem trust in Abit, MSI has never met my demands on quality basis, have heard too many horror stories about DFIs and Epox mobos don't seem as innovative as Asus and Gigabyte (multiple BIOS recovery, more than 4 stages for the power, etc.). |
latest Epox has multiple BIOS, MSI uses high quality parts, Abit is far from bad, DFI is excellent for overclocking |
but what's wrong with Gigabyte or Asus? :^D |
nothing... why would it? in the end the all pretty much follow same reference designs |
the conclusion is choose mobo that specify your need |
Well, they pretty much have the same expansions, etc. There must be some difference on quality level, no? |
jmke this guy is talking about QUALITY in my opinions MSI,ASUS and GIGABYTE is top of QUALITY how about you jmke |
