Default HP F1723 Flat Screen

ello,

I just got an hp f1723 tft screen.
It says in the quick start guide, recommended resolution 1024x768@60H.
But i can still change my resolution to higher values, is it advisable to do this with this screen?
Will it damage the screen or shorten it's lifetime or ...

15" TFT = 1024x768
17" TFT = 1280x1024

which one you do have?

yes, no problem there, you will see that games played at 1024x768 won't be as "crisp" as on 1280x1024 because the image has been stretched out
