How long does your gaming mouse live?
 

I bought MX1000 about 1.5 year ago, the left mouse button is now failing on me, click and drag is a becoming a very frustrating action to perform with this mouse :(

previous MX700 is doing "okay" but mouse feet have completely been worn out.

My MX500 is stil doing fine. And I bought it on *checks invoice* ... 2003-09-14. :super:

must be me then :-/

Haven't really broken a mouse yet, my MX700 got replaced because I broke my keyboard and bought a set. But the paint of the mouse was completely gonne and the batterys where allmost at the end of there life.

Both problems can be fixed with some handywork. :)

the first problem too? the mouse don't hold the "click" :(

Yup, it's a bad contact in the button itself.
You can fix it by opening the mouse, opening the button and cleaning it/bending the internals a bit so it jumps back properly again. Or soldering a new button on it.

any chance you played diabloII in that time? :p It's a real mousekiller :p

no, I'm not a fan of that game; FPS games mostly, they still play fine;

it's drag & drop which is faltering

Drop it off and I'll fix it.

How in heavens name can you wear out a mouse?!
My wrist gives up before the mouse. :-)

I had 2 cheap Logitech ballmouses, where the left button went out.

this MX1000 ain't exactly cheapo :)

I have a mouseman dual optical that still lives. My MX510 also lives his adventure and the regular opticals from logitech still gliding along.

So i got 5 logitech mouses that still live :)

I never said the MX1000 is dead; it's alive, but it's sick :(

My first optical mouse also has a bit of a loose left button.
Al the rest got replaced to fast to get any problems.

MX 500-510-580 and G5 all working fine.
MX1000 that I fixed is handy, but soo not for gaming or main use.

My mx700 is still alive and kicking even after 5 years and a lot of falls from the desk!

it's not easy, but I'm still not dead yet; 20min DM:

one kill every ~7 seconds

~516 kills/hour

amount of clicks is 10~50x that

Duron equals my kill/hour btw, and Tera really comes close too
