Good temp for every computer hardware can someone tell me what is a good temperature for compenent listed below: 1)power supply 2)cpu 3)mainboard chipset 4)Harddisk 5)gpu 6)memory |
<50 <65 <60 <50 <100 <70 |
is that max temp or normal temp jmke? |
"good temp" |
what i mean (good temp) is a perfect temperature to keep the component looooong last before it die. |
that would be subzero for everything except caps (they don't like cold temps). Best is to keep it as cool as possible and your hardware will last long enough. My litlle rule is to keep everything below 50°c (except the HDD, I prefer to have it below 45°c), but to be honest, that's overkill. Hardware can easily run for years at 70°c, GPU's can even go higher. But be honest, how long are you planning to keep your hardware ? Probably not 10 years, I even doubt 5 years . |
5 years or above. |
I diddn't know caps don't like cold temps, why exactly? I'm just starting to mess with them in my D.C. circuits class. Why so long on keeping the hardware anyway? I personally prefer to push mine hard so when it croaks its time for something better :D |
