Default all in one laserjet vs inkjet

Hey Guys

I'm not sure which all in one to buy:

HP Color Laserjet 2840 All-In-One €1.027
HP Officejet 9120 All-in-one € 983

specs are almost identical except:
- laser vs inkjet
- duplex printing: auto for inkjet and manual for laserjet

Price is more or less the same

in printing I assume the laserjet has better quality, cheaper cost per paper, etc?

which one is best buy?

All depends of course.

I would go for the officejet as it is faster and has a larger standard tray

hmm yes true

officejet is a bit faster, larger paper tray

but laserjet consumes less in ink/toner per paper?

anyone any idea of the cost per paper between those two?

dunno the cost of paper but ...

we just bought something alike and went for inktjet cause the refill of laserjet is to expensive.

+ the quality of inkjet these days is not very minor to laserjet altough laser is alot faster.

+ laser has to warm up before start and inkjet just starts => i presume ur buying for a "KMO" (if belgian) and i don't think KMO's print every 5sec's

we bought the Canon PIXMA MP780 wish is very good for the things we use it for

8x10" full color prints, Laser is much faster after warm up. If you print a lot, that doesn't matter much.

Regular color prints, laser printer could go 4,000 pages before one or two color will be out. I really like the Okidata c5150n which prints glossy finish on regular paper. I use Drum refills; insofar it is costing less than inkjet.

It all depends on how you intend on usage. For me, I will not go back to Inkjet.
