2800+ or 2800+Barton
 

In a few days I would like to upgrade my CPU.
Now I have a Asus a7N8X mobo with a XP 1800+
I am looking for a 2800+.
Don't shoot me if I am wrong but there are Thoroughbred and Bartons I believe.
Bartons have more cash memory.
Is there a big difference between these CPU's in performance, or heat ?

There is a difference in performance yes, which one to pick depends on how big the price difference is between the two.

i would defenitly go for the Barton CPU, they also have a higher FSB you know :) (166 instead of the 133 of Thoroughbred).
They also perform a lot better, so they're worth the difference in price :)

I went for the 2800 Barton. Will have it by weekend.
