overclocked? How far did you get the FSB in 1:1 mode? |

But a friend of mine, who heard it of a guy he knew who told about someone who had the board (.......?) and who was very content with it's overclocking functions. But what i read on Asus' site sounded very promising. I can't say much else, I'm but an amateur, not a professional. NOTE: To prevent any misunderstanding : this board HAS NOT BEEN OVERCLOCKED, OR EVEN TURNED ON !!! EVER !!! Ok, bye. |
thanks for the info, I'm looking for a good OC mobo that's why I asked ;) |
Yeah, you're welcome. I quote from ASUS' site : -- Flexible CPU Core Voltage Adjustments in 0.025V increments over defaults -- SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) up to 400MHz at 1MHz increments -- Adjustable FSB/DDR ratio. Fixed AGP/PCI frequencies -- ASUS C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall) From what I have read in all kinds of overclocking tutorials, 0.025 Volt increments are very small, as are 1 MHz increments. (still) interested ? Let me know if you are ! |
at €130 the price is quite steep for me, but don't expect an offer from me unless I know for certain this board can do 300 FSB in 1:1 :) I know its capabilities and features, but for the more extreme overclocks it's a hit and miss :) 300 is quite extreme btw ;) |
OK, tell me how to check out whether it can reach 300 in 1:1 (what does this mean anyway ?) and I will test it's capacity:klap: . PS please excuse me for not replying the day afterwards or some, I simply don't have the time to do this every day :ww: . |
Thank you for your trouble, you'll need a highly overclockable P4 2.4 "C" and some good memory and cooling to test this :) but I bought an Abit AI7 at a very interesting price recently (€160 for cpu+mobo), so if you have other buyers, please don't wait for me |
sigh... |
how high was the chance you would test the board up to 300Mhz FSB in 1:1 syncro mode? ;) |
sorry jmke, i've never been into the OC'ing business, all i am going to do about my PC is perhaps OC it a bit (-> can't afford a water cooling, will buy CNPS7000-Cu instead of AlCu, but that's all) and mod it (stealth, airflow, very cool flame paintjob in grayscale, implementing 12cm hole and 9 cm hole and a self-designed AMD Athlon XP logo as a window - this will look great :super: ) and put some green Glostring on +5V in the back (- this lights up, yet illuminates not ;) , try it out). Not to forget the couple of cold C's. I'm surely NOT going to solder ANYTHING at all :puke: , not even in my mouse (no LEDs because optical - red glow diffused by semi-transparent glue in holes - also very cool). OK, the point is, I don't understand a iota ;) of what you say there. Grasp ? |

btw "will buy CNPS7000-Cu instead of AlCu," the AlCu is better then the CU version :) http://www.silentpcreview.com/article92-page3.html |
Whooo... Thanks Man! (Yeah, Man with a capital ! Great going.) THIS THREAD IS NOT CLOSED, UNLIKE WHAT I SAID YESTERDAY !!! The board is still available, @130 euro or a bit less. Just offer me some ! Remember, I live in Leuven (Louvain, Belgium). Theandaid |
Thread still open? Do you have an invoice? If so I may be interested. I might sell my abit ic7 then. It's a nice oc board though. I have reached 300 fsb with these settings; 1.6v agp, 1.65v cpu, 3:2 ram divider (kingston bh5). I could boot into windows and play doom 3 for 15 minutes till it crashed :p Reason? I need more sata ports and a lan connection. Buying these things seperately would cost me to much :D |
To find a P4 2.4C to reach 300 Mhz is even harder.:) Out of three 2.4C only one reaches 275, that's my luck.:D |
Seems I'm lucky then :) Mine does 3.3Gig (275fsb) at default voltage (prime stable) |
Hey Ames, howmuch would you sell your IC7 for and what model is it? (plain, G, max 3) ? |
Very sorry is what I am, an invoice is what I have not (at least not for the p4c800-e dlx). Yet available for sale is what the board is. Interested in deal, is that what you are ? Theandaid, I am. |
your target price is too high for me especially if you don't have an invoice What about a € 100? |
Yeah well that price is a tad bit low. so let's compromise : 115 euro seems quite fair to me. waddaya say. greetings, the veritable one and only unique me. |
Is the Asus P4C800e-deluxe sold yet? |
no, not yet . i would like 130 (remember, that board has not been used AT ALL). if you can afford it. if you can't, 115 is the ABSOLUTE minimum. |
I'll give you 120€ incl. shipment. |
depends on how much shipment costs. i don't know where izegem is, nor how much it costs to send a mainboard. PLUS, how are you going to pay me ? I don't have a bank account (yet). PLUS, what if the postman drops it and something breaks ? There's no way I can prove it worked with me, and not with you, and it's not my fault. And the postman (or anybody) is definitely NOT going to admit he dropped anything. Just in case. No, i'd rather use the direct approach : i hand it over to you and get cash, saves me a lot of trouble. I really don't like to send stuff like that by snail, its plainly too valueable. Very sorry, theandaid. |
should not cost more then €5-10 have send mainboards through .BE post quite a lot, if you package them WELL, there is no problem. |
mm, Izegem is near Kortrijk, but that's not the problem. I'd would have liked to transfer the money on to your account but since you have none i'm dealing with a huge problem now. But there's one solution i think. I have a cousin who lives in Heverlee, i could ask him to pick up the board and deliver the cash to you. btw, shipping mobo's is no problem if you do what jmke says. So i'll change my offer to 115€ no shipping included and i'll ask my cousin to pick up the lot, if that is fine by you. |
sure. if you inform your cousin about the deal, perhaps I can contact him personally about when and where to meet. my e-mail adress is theandaid@yahoo.com He gets the mainboard as stated, and I get 115 € cash. Great. |
ok, i'll contact him about and we'll deal with the rest by mail then. |
SOLD :o |
Sold indeed. Mucho plezier ermee man ! |
