You're not imaginative enough, couple of them died when standing on ground below eaves.
And at least one was injured when he had remembered to use rope for preventing himself falling down along with snow but forgot to limit its length from allowing him to go over eaves and be left dangling on it.

But if you had enough roof area snowpile was high enough to just step onto it from roof.

or.. not build flat roofs ;)

Another workaround to not injury yourself when being stupid on a roof is to melt all pole ice so that the water level rises 10m worldwide and that you would have to dive you're way down to the rooftop. In that case, your pc would also be watercooled, hah!

Just remove power cord from some unused appliance, connect wires to card and connect plug to wall and you'll have card running overvolted and producing new light and smoke effects. :-p

While major part of Netherlands would go swimming like biggest cities of Finland no one would ever notice anything on this area of Finland... except maybe weather might go totally haywire.
You see temperature scales are these:

Winter:
-25C and below: really fresh air
-20C: perfect working weather
-15C: getting warm
-10C and above: too hot

Summer:
15C: good working temperature
20C: warm
25C: very hot
Anything above: too hot

Sauna:
Anything below 70C: freezing cold.
70C: absolute minimum
80C: tolerable
90C: good
100C: better
