XP Re-booting

Software WinXp Retail

Hi All,
Can anyone help?.I have not given my hardware setup as it is a software problem.
When I do a Windows XP re-install, with XP Service Pack1, the system runs ok. Now if I install sp2 off the disk Microsoft sent me by post, when I re-boot, the screen gets to windows xp logo with the blue segments traveling across the small box and then it re-boots continuously from there.

Now if I re-format the HD again, install sp1 then goto Microsoft and download sp2 from the site and install it, every thing is fine.

Its seems obvious the the disk they sent me must have a problem on it, is there a way I can download the sp2 files off MS site, and copy them to cd. Or how can I get round this problem.

Thanks for the help john:^D

Google is the answer!
or check the Mickesoft site.
I'm sure that you will find information on there on how to download sp2.
or if you are too lazy to do any of the above then click this link: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../winxpsp2.mspx :)
