SB Audigy PL. ex problem

anyone who knows about the SB audigy PL ex will know about the ways of connecting up instruments and how they're shown in the mixer. I recently got hold of the ABIT NF7-S v2.0 and connected everything up fine, including the soundcard and installed the SB audigy software and drivers etc...although the sound works fine when playing music cd's etc My Korg triton isn't functional with CubaseVST and when I checked the mixer I noticed there are no options to use the Audigy box to connect stuff. The only options in the mixer are for connections in the back of the soundcard

usually you get line/line2 mic/mic2 etc..but now I only get line mic blah blah..

Do I need to go into bios to enable midi connections (I don't want to use the joystick port as the midi cos it would make life very difficult)

If the answer is bios can someone tell me how cos I've looked int the manual and cant find anything about midi.

Any help would be most appreciated..

Ok..I've done yet another extensive search on the net for any solution and now I believe its something to do with MPU-401 which, (correct me if I'm wrong) is something in the bios which allows external devices??? midi/audio etc, I do recognise the MPU-401 thing from when I was using my old motherboard (MS K7 pro)...I've looked at my new motherboard (ABIT NF7-S v2.0) bios using the manual (massive headache as a result) and can't find anything even remotley related to external midi and now I'm starting to believe that this motherboard doesn't do external midi devices...I know thats probably crap but I can't find any help from anywhere and I'm really desperate as I' need to get back to composing my music...PLEASE HELP!!!

the MPU-401 is the Midi processing unit of the soundcard if I'm not mistaken
but that is on the soundcard and not onboard, so changing anything in the bios concerning this will not have any effect

so you have DISABLED the onboard sound of your NF7-S in the BIOS right?

yes..I did that because I was advised to while installing/using SB Audigy

since you're not using the midi capabilities of the motherboard itself, I think you should search for the SB Audigy manual & guides on the net
have no hands-on experience with ext. midi (or any midi) devices, so I cant really help you :/
