one dead 8KHA+ ??

finally got that WC setup running ...

so, i thought -- let's get this pc back up & running aye

installed everything the way it should be, nothing happened with the mobo during this rest-period ... and now i can't get anything else but the " FF " on the mobo's display ...

the XP1600+ which is installed on this board is still operative, i tested this on another mobo in the meanwhile, and no oter components have been damaged in any way ...

even weirder -- a hardreset on the mobo doesn't seem to work - at all : shorting the right pins on the JBAT doesn't have any effect whatsoever ...

any suggestions ?

had the same probs with 2 8KHA+ mobo's.
remember the meeting in April :)

leave it without the powercable attached for a day, it worked for me.
reason I dont know, better RMA the mobo.

ah right - that was an 8KHA+ as well ...

daing this sux :^/

any idea how long an RMA for this board will take ?

TerAngreal 6th September 2002 13:13

so i tried some more ...

just had a whole range of display codes comming up :

FF , 00 , 0A , 42 , 08 , ...

always one at a time, never running through a cycle ... never seen this before :puke:

Gamer 6th September 2002 15:43

strange, I had only FF...
think that board is RIP my friend.

TerAngreal 6th September 2002 16:04

would be very sh*tty ...

i'm gonna try some more tomorrow

... i just can't think of any obvious reason for this board going to eternal HW-fields

It ain't me

board was not used for extreme testing here

TerAngreal 8th September 2002 11:29

i know -- board has worked several weeks here without any significant problem ...

Gamer 13th September 2002 21:15
