MoBo going dead ?? I've got my epox 8k5a2+ for over a year now, always been stable. But the last week its doing some strange things. I've always had an audigy and a realtek networkcard in the PCI slots, always in the same slots. But now it seems like a few PCI slots won't recognize any cards. The PCI slots which I always use for the audigy and networkcard won't work, the pc will boot but after a while it just stops, no blue screen, no fault. It just stops, only thing i can do is reset. If I put the cards in other slots the pc works just fine, but after a week my networkcard wasn't detected anymore. So i put it in yet another slot and the pc just stops after while. My quess is that my mobo is almost dead.... at least the PCI bridge is... any suggestions? |
could be, just try some other devices on those PCI slots, if they work, no prob. |
will try that, also going to test network card and audigy in my old pc if other pci cards won't work, then my mobo is dead i presume... |
no problem, it's still in guarantee .. i suppose :-) |
its 14 month old, so probably no quarantee :( |
ask epox: www.epox.nl they got good service (I had) |
I've been working without the network card for almost a week and haven't seen a crash. So MoBo isn't dead :) but that stupid networkcard is ****ed up, think I've burned the chip or something the last time I was OC'ing (kt333 chipset= no pci lock) |
