SY mobo SY5EHM, socket 7, spent 1 month waiting for my ATX tower, abit BH6 and CPU. I put some coolpaste on my proc and my northbridge burned?! :/ abit BH6, due to messed up CMOS. took a P3 700 with him in his grave (I thought only mobo was dead. sold CPU for 110€ but appeared also dead :( when I can, I'll let the mobo be tested) |
=> lots and lots of CDrom drives :) => 2x IBM 60GXP 40gb, each disk returned to tones 2 times, 2nd time they traded for some seagate disks ;) => 1x WD1200 8mb buffer disk, returned to tones once, got a brand new one on the spot :) => 1x teac 8x SCSI writer... Fine machine, burned me > 1000 CD's, when it was about 3 years old, I accidentally pushed one of the pins on the connector inside the drive... It kept on functioning, but with one minor detail : it didnt recognize all CDR's on the instant, you had to put them in twice, which became quite annoying.... => one P1 133 got fried by lightning some time ago, was still a good pc => same happened to a P2 system, also not too old... fried, couldn't recover a thing... => that's it I guess... no biggies untill now by my doing, I'm a very carefull dude :p good thing there are ensurance companies... they pay lots of money for old pc's :D Wij wonen op een uitgestrekte vlakte, de loods zelf is uit YTON blokken gebouwd, met alu dak en stalen constructie om alles te ondersteunen.

IDE1 commited suicide, rather strange) 4Gb Quantum 4Gb Maxtor or WD, don't remember GF2 GTS (not completely f*cked ... OC'ed it too far, wouldn't do standard clockspeeds without glitches anymore) Yamaha 8x4x24x some ancient mainboard from a 286 ... (my first major breakthrough in wrecking hardware !) |
