installation/boot problems *blue screenS of death*

here's my hardware profile

amd64 3200+
k8v se bios 1004
seagate 160hd pata drive
2 sticks of corsair 2-2-2-6 pc3200 ram
bfg 6800gt
thermaltake silnetpower420

Here's the problem i've been having:

ever since i sold my 512 stick of ocz plat ram(used to have 1.5 gig), i've gotten many many blue screens of death. I thought i had to reformat, so i did, and i had to reboot at least 20 times to get windows installed properly. Now the computer will not boot into windows, it shows a blue screen of death right before the log-on screen and the computer reboots itself immediately after that. I think i've gotten physical memory dumps, page.dll, config.sys? and all sorts of reasons for the blue screen of death. I've ran memtest and while it was showing 239120 errors before, now my memtest runs fine. I'm totally out of luck and patience with this damn machine. I've practically rma-ed everything piece of this comp...help? thanks

try the memory one at a time, and try several banks.
Then let us know.

I think it will be a problem with the memory controller and the timing settings.

instead of 2-2-2-6 use 2-3-3-6 and look then

well i'm reformatting again, just to be sure....since i didn't get any memory errors the second time around

but nonetheless i'm still getting blue screens and here's the msg:

stop:c0000218 registry file failure
the registry cannot load the hive file:
\systemroot\system32\config\software
or its log or alternate
it is corrupt absent or not writable

beginning dump of physical memory...
blah blah blah

wtf is going on?

go in the bios and change the timings of the memory;)

try that code(c0000218) in the M$ knowledge base.
