great work! :ws:

I created a user jmke and joined the [m] team, when I try to to http://madmark.madoka.be:8080/hallOfFame.do

I receive ServletException in:/resultlist.hof.jsp] No getter method for property formatterTypes of bean constants'

edit: error is also there when not logged in.

ps: make password field a ... password field please *************************** :)

edit2: when a team does not participate in a certain "competition" it is listed at position #1 apparantly http://madmark.madoka.be:8080/listTeams.do

check the F@H list :)

edit3: anyone can join any team and edit/remove the bots and comments ?

ps2: do love the idea and the general execution, I would have never been able to pull this project off, repsect! ;)

no
If you're not logged in, you can't edit teams/bots.
If you're a default user, you can't edit teams/bots either.
If you're a poweruser (1 per team), you can edit _your own_ team/bots.
If you're a superuser, you can edit all teams/bots.

-edit-
bumped your securitylevel to poweruser.

It's not n00b friendly yet, but it's improving nicely. : )

I think I'm going to change the update policy.

Currently, the engine fetches every 10 minutes the most outdated bot and instructs it to update, which results in a 4h refresh rate interval.

However, some threads aren't updated for days or even weeks at a time. Maybe it would be a better idea to set the updateinterval to 2,3 days, but at the same time encourage the moderators (power users) to manually update update the thread when they deem it necessary.

n/o , what's the use of a bot if you have to update manually? ;)

RichBa5tard 2nd July 2004 00:29

update manually = click on a link

Dunno whether I'm going to do this, or just give the bots who are barely being used a lower priority.

By the way, I added the 24h increase top 20 ranking you requested. :)

You know, my sexual preference can be altered by hardware donations. :D

It's not part of the v1.2rc1 running on the main server yet (so it will be overwritten shortly), but it i'll make sure it will be included before I leave on holiday monday.

mbot engine has been upgraded to v1.2 rc2.

fixes: see above
features:
