| How to delete files permanently How to permanently delete files from your hard drive without trace? is there any free software out there? please help. thanks! |

| post from 23/10 I was in USA holiday, must have missed it; there are tons of "free file shredder" applications out there, try searching download.com something like: http://download.cnet.com/Simple-File...-10301332.html

| Doing so doesn't permanently delete the file, it simply removes the reference to the file. Only when the sectors are overwritten with some other data the file is permanently deleted. |
