Default Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP / Radeon 9800 Pro

Got a huge problem.....Recently upgraded to an AMD64 and the Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP MB......The MB has the nForce3 150 Chipset and all drivers for the MB and Bios are current....

Problem is that the board doesn't seem to be compatible with my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro video card.....Every game I play has bad video lag..

I've tried all the ATI Drivers, and none seem to work....The latest one however shows some promise....Its smooth, but it has a huge lag spike every 1 - 1.5 minutes like clockwork...

Any suggestions??? Please help...

I think there will be more users running a GB mobo and ATi card fine than there will be users with both that have problems.

Wiz, have you tried disabling/enabling fastwrites, locking the AGP to 66mhz, forcing the AGP to 4, upping the Vagp voltage, changing the PSU, trying the same board with a different ATi card?

disabling fastwrite didn't help....Niether did locking it at 66mhz..
how would forcing agp to 4 help??? Wouldn't that decrease it even more???
