Default gigabit UTP cable?

Where can one buy cat5-e cable for gigabit lan? Is cat5-e cable really necessary, or will cat5 suffice in most cases too?

I think CAT5 will suffice, try it out at least, if you experience unacceptably low transfer speeds, then consider buying the other CAT5-E cable.

cat 5e required (doesn't cost a dime more)
cat6 is even better but is more expensive

well, i supose good quality cat5 will do.
only the frequency rate is the big difference between the cat5(e)-cat6. some minor changes to prevent data loss and collision, but nothing fancy.
however, all copper gigabit devices clearly state cat5e-cat6

i could get my hands on a fair amount of CAT6 and/or CAT5E UTP cable ...

is there any interest in this?
i'm not planning to waste my time with trying to get us a deal here, if nobody's interested in buying some in the end ...
