Default Fried Mobo or Video Card????

Just built another new computer a couple of weeks ago, had problems but FINALLY had it running good 'til last night First off, my setup: Abit NF7-S 2.0, AMD 2600+ Barton, PowerColor Radeon 9700 Pro, Corsair DDR3200 twin 256MB, ViewSonic P95f+, Thermaltake Xaser 1000 tower w/ 420W power.

The real problem started last night when I read the article from Marci last night about OC'ing AMD's... I followed the instructions and got the FSB to 200, multiplier 12. I tried to restart to do a bit more tweaking but it would only say "Please Check Signal Cable" on the monitor. I couldn't get into the BIOS or anywhere!! I tried another monitor and same problem. I suspect that I fried something (and I'm not blaming you Marci)!
I swapped a couple of parts and got my old computer running so I could get here to post this. The monitor looks great on this computer where on the other one I couldn't get it focused (especially the sides). I was beginning to suspect either crappy monitor, bad Mobo, or bad vid card. Well it crapped out and I know it's not the monitor!

Anybody have any idea what the problem may be?? I don't have another card that will fit the ABIT AGP slot to test it. HELP

the FSB is too high, and your mainboard can't handle it

reset your CMOS, check your manual for that. don't forget to unplug the power cord and wait a few minutes before you change the jumper setting

Besides, it looks you have little knowledge on computer hardware. it's pretty dangerous then to mess with overclocking

THis MOBO is supposed to be able to handle a 400Mhz FSB which I had it at EXACTLY 400Mhz! I cleared the CMOS several times with no luck... I am assuming that you think the MOBO is fried??

BTW, when I fire up the computer the HDD light comes on, stays lit and doesn't go out or flicker. Just the "please check signal cable" message.

if you've checked everything, it's one of your vital components that's broken... so I guess it's your mainboard :/

I know it's not the HDD and the CPU but not sure weather it's the video card or mobo... I think it's the mobo because nothing happens aside from the HDD light staying on. If it was the video card I would still here the hard drive going and see the light flickering??
