audio is too silent Today I changed the case of my cousins pc. But after I installed the pc in the other case the audio was too silent. We had to put the speakers on max and the setting too to hear a bit of music. does someone know what may be the problem? edit: it's on board sound from a asus P4S533-mx mobo |
change it in windows:p audiosettings or something |
Allready done, read first post :rod: |
Are u sure you put them in the right jack? |
yes edit: there is only one thing I changed, his previous case had front audio, but the case he uses now doesn't, so I didn't connect the front audio on the mobo, but I don't think that matters. |
that should not matter; do you have a spare soundcard lying around? if you can test it out you can rule out some problems. what drivers are you using? did you install additional soundmixer 3rd party software? |
II think it doesn't matter that the front audio is connected or not. Sounddrivers use soundmax btw |
did you place the jumpes pack on the mainboard ? WHen you don't use front audio, and the connector is not plugged in, there must, normalle, be some jumpers placed back. |
Don't have time now to check mobos manual, but it can be something with front audio. Some mobos have jumpers that have something with front audio to do. Generally it was about changing speaker out into line out (difference in amplify) afaim. So check your mobo manual. |
