Accessing Compaq BIOS ? Still wanting it badly to access the bios of our Compaq here :) Well, we have a four (three ?) year old Compaq Deskpro (PIII 450 Mhz) and I would like to stuff around in its BIOS. Problem is that the only stuff I can access is some crappy setup to change Power arrangements and things like that. Is there any way to access the 'real' BIOS or can I change 'real' BIOS settings with a particular program ? (I hate working on a 450 Mhz in the weekends, I'm used to a XP1900+ :p) |
what do you mean with real bios settings? most older compaq biosses are just very simple with no options at all try F1 or F12 to go into the bios, maybe you discovered something else :p |

is the correct answer |
access to compaq bios on older machines is only possible if bios software is loaded on the hard disk, check your compaq softpaq |
