+5v problem
 

I just got me a 350 W PSU, with 32A on +5v, because my other PSU had only 20A.

But: +5v is still supah sucky, it decreases to 4.65v stressed.

Mobo : Abit KX7-333
CPU: Athlon XP 1800+ JIUHB DUT3C 0310 @ 2200 MHz (11 x 200 MHz @ 1.81v)

Is there anyway I can adjust +5v rail ?

Some PSU's got adjustable pots to manually adjust the 5V/12V line. Which PSU have you got?

Mobo does 207 FSB, tested no further because hdd crashes, new hdd in a few days, so I'm going for 210 FSB out-of-the-box with Apacer 2700 @ 2.85v

Allready opened the PSU but found no pot-meter.
Is it possible to mod the PSU ?
BTW, I thought 32A on +5v was enough, the PSU is supah stable on a P4 2.26 @ 2.55, is it normal that a tbred B needs so much juice ?

that doesn't say much about who made it & the model. Judging from the PN letters it might be an Fortron Source supply (as also used by Aopen). They are usually rather good, but it could be yours is faulty or you are having problems with your voltage regulators on the motherboard. 4.65v is undervolting - 4.85 could still be normal. Also, Via's KT333 is exactly known for - erm.. being a great chipset.
