Ik heb zonet eens een HP80 op m'n 9500 gezet: core van 275mhz naar 375mhz and rising =D

-edit-

... nu al aan 400mhz core. wft?

fub4r 26th January 2003 19:45

Met extra fan? Indien ja, welke, en hoe snel draait hij? Blijft heatsink koel?

/edit: WOW JMke going  , quick moving action going on

RichBa5tard 26th January 2003 20:09

Hoger dan 405mhz crashed ie.

er staan 2 120 mm's op te blazen, en er zit een homemade koperen plaatje tss om niet tegen de shim te komen.

Nu geen tijd om verder te benchen, moet facbar gaan openen. :)

jmke 26th January 2003 20:17

400Mhz Core op nen R9500??

WTF ?

:super: card you got there

B|oweFish 26th January 2003 20:19

holy fok :)

mooie occ imo ;)

(had gezegd da et een goei dingske was eh :D )

jakkerd 26th January 2003 23:52

holy cow!!
well, since i just sold my old ram, i'm ordering one too.

RichBa5tard 27th January 2003 14:53

Does anyone know how to overclock beyond powerstrip's limits? The highest I can set is 368mhz, which seems to be rockstable (played UT2K3 for an hour without problems).

Rivatuner let me go higher, but as i said before, it's pretty buggy. If i overclock with rivatuner beyond 300mhz, the performance is crap. It does let me set it to 405mhz until it crashed though. :)

RichBa5tard 27th January 2003 18:45

Finetuning with rivatuner brought me up to 373mhz rock stable, i just spend an hour playing UT 2K3 with it.

UT 2K3 1280*1024 @ 4*AA + 16*FA + all detail highest = *drool* :super:

jmke 27th January 2003 18:56

I think rivatuner & powerstrip use different approaches on overclocking the Radeon

while rivatuner uses software I think, it lowers the timings, so you can reach higher speeds, while powerstrip has access directly to the bios & ups the speed while maintaining the very strict timings

this way, or around, not sure which one does what, I'm sure you are resourcefull enough to find the definitive answer

T-power 27th January 2003 19:36

damnit LOVENO is aan een nieuwe reeks GRAKA 9500 begonnen
die gaan natuurlijk ni zo goed zijn als die van RIchBastard

merde k had juist den t geld bijeen om hem te kopen

I know, i found an excellent guide made by pilsy yesterday @xtreme explaining the differences between software overclocken (riva) and hardware (pstrip).

To reach 375mhz i have to overclock to 368mhz (pstrip max), and overclock with riva a few more mhz. :)

@Tpower: i still see the connect3D 9500 128mb for sale...?

jmke 27th January 2003 21:24

cool I wuss right then ;)
got any 3DMarkRun @ 375Mhz?

what is the stock speed of a R9500 again? ;)

375 = corespeed I presume.. how high does the memory go?

I think a new batch of those :)

Gamer 27th January 2003 22:03

:ws:
thats what I call a :super: card...

RichBa5tard 27th January 2003 22:46

These drivers don't like 3Dmark...

Low quality driver settings (no AA or FA):
stock speed: 275mhz
360mhz core: ok
368mhz core: fail

High Quality settings (4x AA & 16x FA):
360mhz: ok
368mhz: ok
375mhz: ok (can play UT 2K3 100mhz above stock for hours!)
>375mhz: fail

low quality @ 360/315mhz: 16200 3D marks

highq @ 375/315: 11500 (4x AA & 16x AF!)

memory is 3.6ns: stock 270mhz, theoretical max 275mhz. Max w/o artifacts: 315mhz (9700 pro: 310)

T-power 27th January 2003 23:46

I am afraid to buy again.

RichBa5tard 31st January 2003 17:08

ai caramba, this is with cheap aircooling! :o

jakkerd 31st January 2003 17:15

ka-tsjing!

The Senile Doctor 31st January 2003 17:26

don't come too close or I'll have to spank ya with a 4 ghz p4.
:)
still 600+ points to go :)

RichBa5tard 31st January 2003 17:30

If i still had my corsair you would have been chasing me already. :^)

The Senile Doctor 31st January 2003 18:29

well, that's not true, I can't imagine you getting more points out of that 2400+ allready at 2500 mhz...
and async gets you no points at all

I just hope barton clocks, coz I'm gona get my prometeia bak online in time for barton...

RichBa5tard 31st January 2003 18:38

I'm running at 192Mhz FSB with mediocre timings (6-3-3 CL2), with my ex-corsair sticks i could run up to 225mhz 5-2-2 CL2! That should give me at least 600-700 points.

Vidcard isn't maxed out either, 368mhz is the max powerstrip can set. :^)

The Senile Doctor 31st January 2003 18:55

well, come and get me I might say :)
just don't break anything.

In the meantime, I have some Unreal 2 : the awakening to play at 1280*1024 and 4*aa, 16*af :)

RichBa5tard 31st January 2003 19:00

Unreal 2 is already for sale? Cool!

I didn't push it to the max nor voided warranty. I'm not going to break stuff to get 500 more 3D marks...

-edit-
unreal 2 is nog niet uit, warez-hippie :p

The Senile Doctor 31st January 2003 19:22

I'm waiting for it... some pêople have it, gorgh is gonna copy one for me as swift as possible

jmke 1st February 2003 00:45

@RichyB wanna swap ram?

I still got a PC3200 Corsair that is going to waste running @170 relaxed timings here :)

RichBa5tard 1st February 2003 07:26

Just 'swapping' sounds a bit unfair.

Wait a couple weeks till i can pay you for it. :)

jmke 1st February 2003 13:28

wasnt planning on giving it for free you know ;)
