can you get the current price on his XP cpu's?
and verify if they are indeed all tbred's?

cause if so I am interested... ALOT :)

ps: Use paintshoppro/acdsee/ifranview or other graph. edit program to CROP those screenies :)

depending on cooling, you will see ~5°C temp increase for each 0.10v vcore

1.6v -> 1.8v + 20°C if you have sucky cooling :)
but otherwise you'll be able to get around 40°C under load at 1.85v

but when you go higher you will notice that aircooling is no longer able to cope with the wattage

owwkey
2morrow morning I'll give him a call :)

mot: indeed, 47° now with fan at medium speed... but I've just applied a fresh layer of thermal paste and ambient is quite high (26.3°)

thx for the info :)

12*148 now
did 1800mhz, but vcore can't get higher then 1.625

vmoddin' time

jmke 26th December 2002 10:30

get some phase-change cooling & up the vcore to 2v :)

TeuS 26th December 2002 10:38

phase change ffs, I haven't got the money for that stuff
mecenas anybody:p

btw: silly meh... HD's weren't the problem, the vcore was (first time for everything ;)) now upping fsb, 180 now :o

HW shop is open this afternoon
btw: where can I find a good vmod guide? I've found a very short one explaining nearly nothing and one in Italian

jmke 26th December 2002 10:43

it depends on the motherboard I guess :)

TeuS 26th December 2002 11:16

I hope it's stable now... just raised I/0 voltage because it rebooted after a few minutes

last problem left: cooling.... till which temp may my proc heat itself (without really damaging it)
