jort 11th October 2009 14:37

thats the old unit from maximus idd, replaced the compressor and i think the suctionline also. Can you post a picture from the suction line ?

grtz,
Jort

Pardons 13th October 2009 10:57

My prototype suffers from a leak as well.
But i found it pretty easy. Sizzeling sound coming from the evap...hmm very hard to find :D

blind_ripper 13th October 2009 11:44

soup water :p, best way to find leaks i say :).

jort 13th October 2009 11:46

yes indeed, thats why i asked picture's of the flex. maybe mr leeghoofd can try some.

i am sure it's a new leak if ithere is one, the unit worked without problems for years :)

grtz

leeghoofd 13th October 2009 17:51

did some finalizing on the unit, insulated the evap added mounting plate S1366 only |D.
I really used some ghetto stuff for this, inox plate and housing from a standard motor, placed the evap in it, a little PU mousse and done deal :-)
Getting idle around -58°/-60 Working on load tester now . Already done some overkill testing with airheater wich produces 2000W or max 300°c :D

Stil on R410a btw ;-)

jort 25th October 2009 23:53

mooi mooi !

Pardons 2nd November 2009 12:26

small update again,
Going to regas again today with R507 and loadtest it on 250W as well.
A waited a week before doing this and every day i tested the system with the R410A that was on it just to make sure it's leakfree.

geoffrey 2nd November 2009 12:29

I have no idea what i can ask for a refill since the gas i'm using is not mines, my wifes father is a cooltechnician and i'm borrowing his gas.
But perhaps i can be kind and ask if he would mind if i'm regassing your unit :naughty:

To be honest i found those at my job, i have no clue what there purpose was.
But i think it's something like that yeah.

Pardons 2nd November 2009 13:55

hmm seems like 250w is allot for this unit when fully heated :D
Getting similar results with r507 as r410a.
Going to leave it for this project now. perhaps i can sell this for cheapo or perhaps i can give it away for free, dunno :)

Slowly starting with new project :-p
Again something i picked up and refurbing.
Started with disassembling the condensor and repainting it. as you can see it's still needs some bolts to get parts attached, i drill out all the rivets.
For this project i will try to get hold of a rotary compressor.
