11/04/2003 packdate

see for yourself :

this baby rocks like hell.
prometeia cooled, -25° idle @ 1.65 vcore.
P4C800
XMS 3200 LL

:king:

JMke, for 3D mark, need to reinstall windows, not the time now, maybe later.

1.65v? That's stock vcore?! Amazing... now up it to 1.75v

Bosw8er 7th May 2003 20:21

:super:

UP ! UP!

FreeStyler 8th May 2003 09:46

What motherboard are you using for this setup ??

The Senile Doctor 8th May 2003 10:45

p4c800.

not up

keep the voltage @ 1.65 (1.55 +0.1 in bios ) and stay put,

how high is primestability?

Gamer 8th May 2003 11:16

got a bios that supports 1.85vcore, but I'm not crazy :)

maybe good for you calantak ? :p
ftp://ftp.x86-secret.com/bios/p4c800_1006_003.zip

the readout in MBM is 1.72 vcore, a bit to high for this cpu, but it needs it to reach 4130 mhz, not stable enough to do 3D mark all the way.
primestable @ 4.05 ghz @ 1.68 vcore.

the prom is working hard to get it at -30 idle (MBM5) in bios -20, readout from evaporator is -30.
so I'm sure I got good contact.

got some troubles with the resetbutton, it boots right away when it got's juice, don't know what the problem is.
in windows it works just fine ?

jmke 8th May 2003 11:20

got some screens of the temps @ idle and load?

alot of difference between @default and overclocked? :)

ps: got your mail okay :super:

Gamer 8th May 2003 12:38

their is not much difference between OC and standard.
maybe 3°.
stressed temp comming :p up.

The Senile Doctor 8th May 2003 14:52

i have tried the new official bios, it works up to 1.975 volts vcore, but it undervolts a bit compared to the overvolting standard...
however 1.975 is more than we need

Tum0r 8th May 2003 17:20

how does it perform against a 3gig xp with fsb 225

something like durondudes beast?

jmke 8th May 2003 18:36

only time will tell :)

Dorpsidioot 11th May 2003 18:59

Gamer, that problem with the resetbutton, I'm experiencing it with my power on button on my P4T533-C. Sometimes after complete shutdown it won't boot immediately. I have to wait for a few seconds and flick the on/off button of my PSU to get it started again. It's a strange problem I've noticed on some Asus mainboards. It could be my PSU, which is a bit older or the wiring, but I haven't had the time to check it.

Nice overclock btw, keep that voltage where it is, P4's tend to stop functioning correctly after an all too high vcore.

Gamer 11th May 2003 19:32

mail send to Chip-con and Asus.
lets hope a biosupdate will fix this problem.
