you have 100-150 w surplus :o

you don't think thats a litlle bit to mutch:^D

if you pelt is 200w and cpu is 50w=> your not getting lower temps(little bit).
the average delta T is the same so.

you just want to be sure you cpu is running cool enough :D

SiSoft Sandra says that my CPU uses circa 95W, and TEC's need to be double of that, so at least 190W. But maybe I overclock some more, so i need some space...

The hardest thing to do is to find a good cpu block (read: very very very good!)

http://extremeprometeia.com/forum/sh...=8453#post8453 ;) pretty much the best money can buy

only those using silver and custom built blocks are better.

in the reviews i can only read the delta T
but no actual temps:grum:

between some blocks
the temps could be 40-50° or 30-40° with 10° difference so.

not that the temps are that high just an example

did you try refreshing the page?

can you see this?

check this out :)

http://www.aquastealth.com/

also very cheap compared to the usual prices for pelts in pc shops

geoffrey 14th November 2004 22:26

Not that cheap, but cheaper :)
80W pelt = 29 dollar
220W pelt adds 14 dollar, so 44 dollar.
And thats not sended yet...
If we are with few buyers, the sending is not goin to be much (3€ per person i think)

What do u think if this:
http://www.expresspc.be/checkout/shop/product/1146
Its in Belgium, so not much sending prices (for people from Belgium :p )

Nazaar 15th November 2004 07:52

wouldnt it be smarter to order from that guy in the US ??

It's MUCH more cheaper and desert eagle allready did (so I think its save ;) )

I might be intrested, but i have to find some money first and I have a few questions.

First off all: I don't have a watercooling, what would you guys advise me for a decent price? So I'll prolly need 2 bloks (cpu & chipset), a pump, a rad and some hoses?

Second:
I calculated the overclocked wattage for my cpu: that's 124 watt @ 3,9 ghz. So I need a 120-170 watt pelt??
But how's that with the chipset then?

geoffrey 15th November 2004 13:40

I have heard that the pelt power must be at least twice as big as the CPU power. So if u have an 100W CPU, jou need atleast an 200W TEC.
Don't know if its true, but i'm taking the risk. Besides, how more power the pelt has, how lower the temps if it is cooled desent.

Agent, just like u I have no watersetup. I'm watching out for second hand things. Then u can buy aan highend setup for half the price, and with little luck everything looks as good as new.
Dont forget to buy some good fans for your rad, cause u didnt mentioned that :)
If u are an die-hard modder u can use car-radiators or something like that. U can maybe make ur own blocks, and u will only have to buy an pump. Or jou can use a pump from a washmachine.
