Raystorm benchmarks

Tired of those 3D Mark screens ?
Maybe you should try the Raystorm Benchmark.
You need a crafty setup though. Just ran it on a XP1600, 512RAM and GeForce GTS Pro ... the images are very nice but not smooth at all.
Hehe, be quick and take your chance to be N°1 ... for a couple of days.

will do

Gamer 12th August 2002 19:14

Is't that a software benchmark, only high powerd cpu's get a high score (read that on Tweakers :) )

RichBa5tard 12th August 2002 19:34

Indeed, it's independend from your graphics card.

My score (untweaked XP1700+ i think): 4011

jmke 12th August 2002 23:40

1024x576x32
Shadows+Reflections

RichBa5tard 13th August 2002 08:21

Umpfh? Another benchmarking in favor of AMD (cfr. SuperPi)? ???

jmke 13th August 2002 10:14

at what resolution did you run it?

The Senile Doctor 13th August 2002 10:58

when I know what resolution you run it @ I'll try and give it a shot @3.2

Shadows + reflections

The Senile Doctor 14th August 2002 09:11

JMke, I don't see 1024*576 anywhere :-)

1024*768 gives me a score of 4057 @3.060 mhz....fekkin amd lover test :)

jmke 14th August 2002 09:26

weird... my score in resultbrowser displays ->

RichBa5tard 14th August 2002 09:32

I did the test once more: 3934 Marks.

Test is based on pure mathematical powah => AMD's FPU kicks your shiney Intel butt!

LOL, it's funny actually: Intel procs are good, except for calculations... what's else is it supposed to do? ;p

jmke 14th August 2002 10:22

play games @ double speed of AMD system :p

The Senile Doctor 14th August 2002 11:13

rofl @JMke.

RichBa5tard 14th August 2002 12:15

hmm

/me is going to shup up now. :)

septimus 15th August 2002 21:07

This benchmark is pure CPU power right? No video involvement yes? I'll try it out, I wonder what my Tbird 1.333 can do ;)

septimus 15th August 2002 21:21

Ok, it seems that I get 2605 Raymarks after running 640x480 mode with only shadows and reflections enabled. This is on an Athlon 1.331GHz running at 166MHz FSB. I wonder if my memory bandwidth helped at all?

TeuS 15th August 2002 21:46

1349, 640*480, default details

notice the eastereggs:
-nature suxx and nature still suxx at loading screen
-nature suxx at bus stop, at the rear federation against nature

what's up with the nature test???

Odd, my XP1700+ @10*170 gets A LOT more: 4000 points.

jmke 15th August 2002 23:56

download the Nature suxx demo's

it is NOT against the "nature bench" from madonion

Yes, at the same resolution? If I lower the res I get more FPS and thus more raymarks... are you running at 640x480?

RealStorm Raytrace benchmark

Hi,

some facts about our realtime raytracing benchmark:

(1) If you get 0Mhz for your system in the ResultBrowser just download the ResultBrowser update from our page www.realstorm.com, there you find a bugfixed version
(2) If you find the time, send your result Database (data\database.rdb) to my email: contact@realtimeraytrace.de, so we can build up a bigger Database for anyone to download
(3) check our page regularly, we will update some like program updates, new shots and features and a downloadable database as often as possible

I hope you enjoy our work,

:hello:

Welcome to our forum TTS. I'll send some results your way soon.

Question: does these results have to be of non-overclocked systems?

TTS 29th August 2002 13:23

Raytrace benchmark Results

you can overclock your system as much as you like, the results of every system will be fine,

Thanks
